What
To
Expect
After Rhinoplasty,
you can expect
swelling of the skin
and soft tissues of
your nose.
Generally, most of
the swelling (80%)
resolves within six
weeks. Once
this phase is
completed, the
remainder resolves
over the next 11
months. As a
rule of thumb, 90%
of swelling has
resolved by six
months, and 100%
resolved by one
year.

You
Know?
Nasal congestion is very
common after rhinoplasty

other salt water nasal
sprays can help
decongest and clean the
inside of your nose.
This can help congestion
symptoms as well as
healing of the internal
incisions. These
products can be found at
your local drugstore -
buy one before surgery!

Insurance:
Dr. Torkian is not a "contracted
provider" for any insurance company. However, when
appropriate, rhinoplasty surgery may be combined with nasal airway
surgery to improve breathing. We will work with each patient's
individual insurance company in an attempt to minimize their out of
pocket cost. Depending on the specific policy, the entire procedure may
be covered or only a small portion of it.
If you have a difficulty breathing
or other condition which necessitates medical treatment, please discuss
this with Dr. Torkian at the time of your consultation and we'll do what
we can to utilize your insurance.
